Ball head people of the hills and isometric houses

I drew this a while ago — back in ’98, for a class at Columbia. I loved it, and people in the class really liked it too.

Naturally, it got a B-minus. Apparently I didn’t follow the directions, which must have been “draw poorly” or something similar. It doesn’t matter though, because not only do I still like this drawing, and not only do you like it (whether you know it or not), but I used it to get a job illustrating a story for a magazine I really like.

But the illustration? Ball head people, of course. I hope that instructor is a subscriber. Not that he even remembers the stupid thing, of course, but I can pretend.
